With the clocks due to change this Sunday it really is nearly Summer.
The spring flowers are fully open, my magnolia is fading fast with all the recent sunshine, and the daffodils need dead heading daily.
Dunster Castle owned by the National Trust is now fully open to the public, no booking required this year.
Why not make a day of it. Either park in the Castle grounds or walk from the cottage (only 30 – 40 mins ) or catch a bus to Dunster Steep.
After a wander around the gardens and a tour of the Castle itself there are plenty of coffee shops, cafesand pubs for lunch or afternoon teas.
More information about Dunster Castle and Dunster Village can be found in the Exmoor Information centre on Dunster steep or on these websites
