Guests can walk from the doorstep of Anchor cottage in many directions.
On a hot Summer’s day if you have your four legged friend with you, you might like the shaded walk that starts along the route of the South West Coast Path towards Porlock.
It takes you along the open grass area of Culvercliff and into the woods. You turn back towards Minehead gaining height as you go. The ferns in late Spring and early Summer are quite spectacular as they unfurl.
Through the trees you have a view of the sea and later as you descend the Zig Zags back into Quay street you can catch a glimpse of the harbour.
The bird song and the tranquility of this short walk really does set you up for the day.
